Don't Let Standing Water Destroy Your Houston Foundation

Houston’s dense clay soil and severe hurricane seasons trap subsurface water against your slab edge, creating lateral pressure that causes foundation failure. Proper landscape drainage isn’t just about a dry yard—it’s the first line of defense for your property’s structural integrity.

Complete Yard Drainage Solutions

We don’t just dig holes; we use laser transits to calculate exact slope and volume requirements to route water away from your home permanently.

French Drain Systems

The ultimate solution for subsurface water. We install deep trenches filled with washed gravel and perforated pipe wrapped in geotextile fabric to collect and move groundwater.

Catch Basins & Surface Drains

Designed to handle the heavy downpours typical of hurricane season. Catch basins quickly collect surface water before it has a chance to pool.

Gutter Downspout
Tie-Ins

Stop dumping thousands of gallons of water next to your slab. We bury solid PVC pipes to route roof runoff safely out to the street or a pop-up emitter.

Yard Grading & Swales

Sometimes the best solution is gravity. We can re-sculpt and level your landscape to create a natural, positive slope that actively guides stormwater away.

Frequently Asked Questions

Honest answers to Houston homeowners’ most common drainage questions.

Why does my yard flood so easily in Houston?

Houston is incredibly flat and mostly composed of dense “gumbo” clay soil. Unlike sandy soils that absorb water, our clay acts like a bowl, holding rainwater on the surface. Combined with our frequent heavy downpours, a dedicated drainage system is usually required to move the water off your property.

We strictly use rigid SDR-35 or Schedule 40 PVC pipe. Black corrugated pipe (often used by cheap landscapers) easily crushes under the weight of soil, clogs with debris due to its ridges, and roots easily penetrate it. Smooth PVC ensures maximum water flow and lasts for decades.

Our crews are meticulously trained in turf preservation. We carefully cut and remove your grass in sections before trenching. Once the pipe and gravel are installed, we backfill, replace your sod, and clean the area. Within a few weeks, you won’t even know we were there.

Drainage system pricing depends on the number of catch basins required, the complexity of the drainage layout, and site conditions that may affect installation. Most standard residential drainage systems range between $2,500 and $6,000. We provide free, to-the-penny estimates during our site visits.
